Max, Pete and Simon go travelling...
Just arrived in L.A and are all very confused as the same day has now been going on for about 4 weeks it seems. Not too hungover now as all had ourselves a cheeky sleep on the plane. Bit of a rush to get ready for flight back in Fiji as we got back from the island hopping thing just a few hours before our flight. All went smoothly in the end though.
A bit about Fiji... After doing Robinson Crusoe Island we spent the next 6 days on the beautiful Yasawa Islands - we visited 3 in total, all were predicatbly superb and very relaxing. We kind of adopted a steady daily pattern during the 6 days: Wake up slightly hungover and dazed at 8am ish (bit harsh) for bit of brekkie. Then proceed to wander all of 3 metres to the beach where we had the option of either sleeping, reading, frisbee, snorkeling...ya know, the usual stuff. These activies would occur for approximately 9 hours until having to drag ourselves back for an excellent tasty Fijian meal. Grandison appears to have gained an obsession for Aubergine avec tuna. Evenings would consist of lots of sly drinking of punch of the strongest type usually around some type of bonfire. Messy stuff. We would then attempt to keep the fire going for as long as possible before skulking off to bed covered in soot. Locals slightly concerned over lack of flora remaining after silly attempts to put whole palm trees on the fire.
Some events of choice include Beeching deciding to marry a young lady named Kate after a rash statement from the young lady resulted in her being forced to tie the knot with the stubly blonde one. We proceeded to errect a church on the beach whilst Sir Max of Grandison donned the white collar and performed very well. Bezza being a rock as the best man. All good fun.
Volleyball was also taken up and we proceeded to pummel the slightly over competitive locals. Bezza had a worrying moment whilst out at sea doing some outrageous snorkeling on his own when he stumbled across a menacing shark. Pants were filled but Bezza still alive and well. Er... what else??... Oh yes,, after a rash claim from Beeching that he could re-write the Da Vinci Code better than Mr Brown, he is now beavering away at a new masterpiece - silly sod.
As previously mentioned, we're now in L.A. Met up with Max's cousin (Vicky) and have bagged a rather snazzy apartment to stay in for a few days. Been wandering along Venice Beach today having a few beers on the way and watching the crazy Californian world drift by. Not had any run ins with the gang-stars yet but are currently attemting to build our own gang and take over the famous basketball courts. Game on! Pick up the van tomorrow and we'll probs leave on Tues for Grand Canyon. We'll keep ya posted. Lovin it
