alright bummers,
well, so far loving Mexico, we spent 4 days or so in Mexico city, its really cool there, found a big protest in the main square right out side the precedents building, wanted to get some good photos of it (but didn't) but people thought i was paparazzi to my amusement, so started to pose and stuff, was funny. Mexican buildings are very grand and big, pretty cool streets to walk down, but pretty dilapidated, the coppers have massive shotguns and assault rifles, good for stopping a elephant, but i didn't really see any elephants walking the streets...........
just outside of Mexico city was some cool Aztec ruins, two main sites, pyramid DE Luna and pyramid de sol, ( moon and sun) man it was a hot day, and we forgot to get any money out so lugged our selves round with no food and one bottle of water, the sun temple is the 3rd largest pyramid in the world so we climbed it.... (true, it is, ask my mum, she told me i have a unique face that all the Lady's will love when im older)
After Mexico we got the 1st class bus of coarse, (the 2nd class ones keep getting robbed! ) to Oaxaca, a really beautiful town in Mexico, wicked little streets and shops and cool buildings again. last year they had a massive protest, all the teachers and stuff camped out for 5 months in the main SQ, wanting El Presedenta to quit because he's a bit rubbish, well after 5 months the police came and kicked some teacher ar$e, gassed and beat them all to a bl00dy pulp, welllllll a few days after we get here, its the 1 year anniversary, so more protests, and now the APPO (all the pi$$ed off teachers) are camped in the main SQagain! lets hope it dont kick off yet.
they do love a good moan and protest here i will give ém that!
In Oaxaca we stayed with Silvia and Lewis, a proppa rich old pair while we studied Spanish at school, the house was sweet, we had our own room, bathroom, courtyard and we had a maid come clean everything and make our beds everyday!!!! sweet! food they cooked us was rocking to, better than the normal crap i eat! healthy and that. Learning Spanish is quite hard, we did 3 hours a day then about 2 hours home work (homework.... never thought i would do any of that) but now can ask for stuff and hold my own in conversation (a bit) but was fun. although i keep ordering dog. and saying good bum instead of good night.
over the weekend they had festival de nocha, festival of the night. funny enough it was at night. but this was really cool, big procession with massive dolls and brass band kicking out only the best and baddest in Mexican tunes, fireworks, more dancing, more fireworks.
in the procession the locals had little Latins made from paper and a candle, some nice chick saw us and gave us a lantern so we joined in the possession in to town, was wicked to be a gringo in among it all.
other than that, been kicking back, enjoying the food and streets and culture trying not to spend any money, its quite safe here so far even with all the scare storeys we have be told,
tonight we get the night bus down to st Cristobal, there are some other cool Aztec temples and stuff close to there, but they have howler monkeys at them SCORE! then after that off to Guatemala.
but all you lovely bummers will be happy to hear, that due to our lack of cash, we will be home in time for my birthday! yes yes bummers
leave me msg`s and stuff on here i like them, they remind me of Christmas day in bongnor on sea with KFC for dinner, and water (boiled) to drink.
This was a nice journal entry for my olds. see olds, im not just getting drunk everynight and mugging old ladys of thier silly hats
