Ok so its about time that i updated this thing again as people are starting become impatient!!! Since last time i really really havent been up to much at all! The extent of my activity has involved sleeping allllllll week! Its crazy how tired i am and i really dont know why! We are going to the beach tommorrow so that should be another lovely sunday! We went out on thursday night and again it was a totally mental night with me somehow managing to pull a muscle in my backside (dont ask!!!) So last night me and some of Rads friends went to Monty's again (a friday night tradition here!!) and Rad met us after work! I finally ate raw seafood including shrimps and crab claws! Go me! Ok, since i been here i have learnt so many things that have made me laugh! So firstly how lazy is this! In America they have drive through banks! I was soooo amazed when we went for the first time that it was all i spoke about all day. These banks are awesome- not only can you drive through for the cash machine but you can do all your everyday banking without even getting out of your car! Here are some words i learnt that americans use that i dont:- Bangs - Fringe Grocery Store - Supermarket Pants - Trousers Well that doesnt seem very much! Somehow i did know lots more but i cant for the life of me remember! Oh bejeebas! Oh i know what the biggest thing they dont use is ..... TETLEYS (as in tea bags) !!! Good job i have Tom on hand to send me some otherwise i may have gone insane! Thanks to you lover!! xx Its also very weird talking to people out here! They all say they love the English accent and that makes you very aware of everything you say. I also have to repeat myself sooo much either because i speak too fast or they just dont understand me! My solution is to actually speak very american (this is way more interesting when drinking alcohol! it comes so easily!) May sound a little intereesting to some people though! For example dont ask for a vodka and coke, ask for a vooorrd KA and coke! Its intersting but it works! Additionally, why do so many people say to me "my dream place to live would be england" to what i reply "so where did you visit?" and most people reply "oh, ive never been" How the hell does that work? How can you say that if you never been somewhere??? Crazy! The best thing about all rads friends is that they all come from different parts of the world. I feel like i now got friends from Argentina, Brazil, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Bahamas, Eqcuador, Holland, Australia, Belgium, Canada and all over the US! So a variety of backgrounds, experiences and beliefs and its totally amazing! Well i'm gonna head off now cos i got a film to watch and i'm tired again now! My brain cell finds this very difficult! For those that have asked me this week! YES i am very happy! Possibly happier than i have been i years! I have nothing to be down about, upset about or even worry about and its the greatest feeling in the world! Cat, i hope you didnt get too drunk on friday and i hope your work got in ok! I may call a few of you girls later this week so answer your phones if its a strange number (i know some of you never answer if you dont know the number but you could be talking to me so do it!)
