continued........ I get to my hotel and once again no one speaks god dam English! I know that sounds rude but I'm in America and don't see why everyone in the hotels speaks Punjabi! Never mind! I felt slightly worried about being on my own in a place that I didn't know so I slept with the light on (big baby I know!!) but it helped slightly! I'm a little out of the way here and given the unhelpfulness of anyone to help me try find a youth hostel etc.. I have decided to actually stay here for another two nights and travel about (purely because they wont store luggage for the day either!!) so once again I set off on my travels around San Jose! Get on the bus for downtown, which I must say, was very easy to find! You also pay $5 for the whole day and can travel on the tram, train and buses across the city no problems. It's awesome! So on the bus this guy really freaks me out - here's the conversation!!! Him: Excuse me Me: Yes Him: Can I just say that you're absolutely beautiful Me: Thanks hahahaha Him: No seriously, you are beautiful! The whole package, not just your figure but your smile, your eyes etc... Me: Thanks hahahaha Him: I can only imagine what your mother looks like. How old are you? Me: 21 Him: you're a baby and I'm old enough to be your father and I hope you don't mind me saying this but I thought if no one else had told you today I would be the first. Me: hahahahhahahahhahahha He then gets off the bus and shouts Him: Thank Christ for this woman (whilst kissing his crucifix) Actually before that bit he actually screamed to everyone else on the bus "don't you think this girl is beautiful!"? Embarrassing to say the least! Then I was walking to find the Winchester Mystery house and felt this guy following me! So just before I turned around to karate chop him in the throat I realized he wasn't really following me when I made him jump out of his skin by stopping dead! This guy then proceeded on chatting me up for about half a mile again very strange! Apparently I look Spanish! Whatever, just glad it was daytime! So because of this I decided to make sure I was home before dark! Apparently it's very safe down here but like Paris (Bex- you will know what I mean!!!) everyone just seems to stare at me! So i spent the afternoon at the Winchester mystery house. This house is crazy! A Mansion with over 160 rooms! Its apparently one of the most haunted houses in USA! Full of dead end staircases, secret passages etc... its practically a maze but totally beautiful! Its was made to confuse the spirit world! It confused me and I'm not dead! Lol. I also spent time in the park today! This is where the biggest monopoly board in the world is! It's not actually that big! But all the same great to see! So tonight I've just been asked to dinner by a young (I mean about 17 - so no competition Thomas hash) footballer from England that's on trials out here! Met him at the bus stop this morning, we are at the same hotel and we are both bored go going to get some Mexican food! Yummy! Saves sitting in alone! Haha! So with this just decided I will start saying my goodbyes! I am going to Santa Cruz tomorrow and Monterey Bay the following day before traveling to San Francisco. So I will update again then! I was reading my book earlier and came across this passage, which has made me really sit up and smell the coffee! It really was a life changing moment so I will write it on here so you will all see what I mean "I stood and let the ocean cool my feet.... nothing. Or maybe it was the end of love that I was feeling, the cool empty place that's left inside of you where all that heat and pain and passion used to be, the slick of wet sand after the tide finally rolls back out. Okay I thought. I am here. And you move forward because that's the way it works; that's the only place you can go. You keep going until it stops hurting, or until you find new things to hurt you worse, I guess. And that is the human condition. All of us lurching along in our own private miseries, because that's the way it is. Because, I guess, God didn't give us any choice. You grow up and you finally learn" So that's my thought for the day! I have finalized and seen the light and although what could have been didn't happen to go my way the rest of the world shouldn't stop moving because of it! People go through the same everyday and get through it! So I hope that this journey is going to mean more to me than I initially thought! I do miss home yes but I am just starting a whole new chapter of great things and I think inevitably I will become a better person because of it! I hope your all well! I miss you all terribly!
