Malacca - first destination in Malaysia. Great historical sites in Malacca made it interesting to know a bit more before beginning my time in Malaysia. China Town had a great night market where the streets were busy & lively with tons of street vendors.
Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival, I toured the city at night which made for a great view of the petronas twin towers & temples. I then visited the Batu caves where there were some gorgeous hindu temples built in and around the caves, went up to the bridge area of the Petronas twin towers for a fantastic view of the city, visited the downtown core and then went out with a bunch of others to China town for dinner & clubbing. The city itself was not very nice so I didn't spend much time there. It was quite dirty so I quickly moved on to the Cameron Highlands.
Cameron Highlands This area is a nice refreshing break but it has unfortunately rained for both afternoons. We visited some of the countryside today (tea plantations, strawberry farm, butterfly/reptile farm, temple) & spent a lot of time relaxing and watching movies/playing cards at our hostel. I will possibly stay in the highlands for one more day to wait for a few people and do some walking trails or tomorrow I may move on to Taman Negara National Park myself for jungle trekking, caving....
Hope everyone back home is doing well!! Also, for those of you trying to view photos...I am having difficulty uploading them on this site so have posted some on facebook (sorry for those of you that are not so computer-savy and don't know how to get an account - let me know & I'll send you a facebook invite)
