Mausoleum of Roxolane, wife of Suleiman the Magnificent. Hurrem Sultan's octagonal mausoleum is dated 1558, the year of her death. Hürrem died on 15 April 1558 due to an unknown illness.She was also known as Hurrem Sultan and was Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent's favorite consort who later went on to become his legal wife and the mother of the next Sultan.
