Temple of Bulgarian Martyrs - Dedicated to "all new Bulgarian martyrs," the small, square building was consecrated on 10 June 2001 and is one of the few monuments that celebrate the memory of the victims of Communist rule in Bulgaria. To the side, on a black granite wall, are engraved the names of the victims – some 8,000 or more people who were executed or vanished between 1944 and 1989.
