The Mevlâna Museum (Turkish: Mevlânâ Müzesi), in Konya, Turkey, started life as the dervish lodge (Tekke) of the Mevlevi order, better known as the whirling dervishes.The museum is dedicated to the teachings of Rumi, a 13th-century poet, Islamic scholar, and Sufi mystic who was born in Persia . He later moved to Konya where he preached his brand of mysticism.
