Temenni Hill
Kılıçarslan Gazi Tomb and Mausoleum. The story of the tomb dates back to the Anatolian Seljuk period. Alaeddin Keykubat, one of the Seljuk sultans who took refuge in Ürgüp by escaping the throne fights and the Mongol invasion, was caught and killed here. Taka tombs were found on Temenni Hill. The hill is one of the places considered sacred in antiquity. At that time, people fought to be buried here. Taka tombs could hold 5 people in total. One person was placed at the bottom by digging deep, and two people were placed on the sides. They could be carved like a shelf and placed in these areas. Privileged people on the hill could own tombs.
