The Citadel Wall of Troy II and III 2550-2200 BCE. Handmade and fiired mudbricks protect burnt clay bricks below them. These burnt bricks wer referred to by Hermann Schlieman who fiiirst excavated Troy as the burnt city, the siite of Homer's Trojan War. They were later determined to be from 3,000 to 2,000 BCE,too early to be the location of the Trojan War as Homer describes it.
