Pinias not only shared information with me about the Lemba and the Jews (enhanced by Wikipedia) but told me he had visited Los Angeles. He had stayed in a very nice area, Palos Verdes. Some time later it came up that I am a pediatrician and it turned out the family he stayed with is that of a woman pediatrician I know!
