Drimia altissima or Ker Gawl
Tall perennial herb, widely distributed in tropical and southern Africa, from Senegal via East Africa .It is very common in savanna, open woodland and scrub, forest clearings and along roadsides. It is bitter in taste, so most animals avoid it. Rats eat it; there are toxic agents in the plant that have been used as rat poison.
