This young woman, Memory, age 28, asked to speak with me as I walked through the market. She works in her mother's stall selling various products including salt (in the bag.) She told me she had not finished school and wants to find a sponsor so she can finish high school and go on to be a doctor. She is not married because she feels she can get further in the world without a man. She had very strong feelings about women's rights. When we spoke she did not know I am a doctor. I was hoping to maintain contact with her, but she has no cell phone and no computer access and could not give me a mailing address.
