Great Siege Tunnels
At the outermost ledge on the east face of the Rock. Holyland Tunnel's opening points to the holy land.By the end of 1783 thel construction length of the tunnels was roughly nine hundred and eight feet ( two hundred and seventy-seven metres). It felt a lot long when we walked here. This ledge was inaccessible till another tunnel was completed a few years after the Great Siege.t it was unlikely that guns were ever positioned here during that time. A Fire Commander's post was built here in 1908/09. During the Second World War some guns were position here
