The history of ballet in Camaguey dates back to the 30s, with the development of ballet hall of the Academy of Gilda Zaldívar. The opening show of the Company was held in the Main Theater of Camagüey , with a program that included "La fille mal gardée", "Les Sylphides" and the pas de trois of the first act of "Swan Lake".
