We spent one night in a private home. The disadvantage is that we were far from the historic area of Trinidad. Trinidad has the most vibrant music scene in Cuba, but we were nowhere near anyplace to go out at night. Our Casa Particular was on the second floor. The ground floor was the home of our hostess's parents and her father's office (an orthopedic surgeon). She and her husband completely renovated this space in the past two years. She used to work with computers. She spoke English very well - all self taught.
