Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca
In the 14th century, after the Jews had been expelled, eight of the city's ten synagogues and its five Talmudic schools were destroyed. The remaining synagogues were converted into churches. Santa Maria La Blanca ( formerly the Grand Synagogue )was built by Arabs in the 12th century and appears more like a mosque than a synagogue.
