Museum Emporda
El Motel Colman Andrews' book Catalan Cuisine (1988) put emporda cuisine on the map. The focus of the book is Josep Mercador who applied traditional techniques to modernize local produce. Mercador came from Hotel Duran to The Motel and originally offered classic French dishes until he lightened them up and infused them with Catalan character Baccala a la mussolina d'all (cod on garlic mussel) Francesc Guillamet 2019
