Jewish Square, site of ancient synagogue, built with permission by King James I in 1244. It had several rooms - prayer room with separate area for women, on upper floor, courtyard used for religous activities and an area for community mediation, a school, In 1415, village authorities began to close the Jewish quarter. After 20 years, no Jews were left in the village.
