First monument built in Cuba to pay tribute to Che Guevara and his comrades who fell in Bolivia .Unveiled the 15 of October of 1973, ihe project was implemented under the overall direction of sculptor Rita Longa , who used natural artistic elements to represent the theater of war.On a stepped granite platform, they are placed seventy three pieces of white marble of different dimensions, in which images and positions of those men are represented and the position they occupied within the organizational structure created by Commander Ernesto Guevara.
