Saturday evening at 7 PM I went to this restaurant for dinner, a few blocks from my hotel. This is a restaurant of immense post war Polish history, used to be frequented by many famous Polish film stars and directors. I was told I could have the table for only an hour. At around 8 PM, the band started playing. No one ever came back to check on me, give me a check, or ask me to leave.
