Gellert Hill has a fortress (Citadella) and is crowned with the Liberty Monument (a woman with a palm frond in her outstretched hand) proclaiming freedom thoughout the city. The Gellert Baths is one of a number of thermal baths in Budapest with eight thermal pools. The hot springs were favored by the Turks in the Ottoman times.
