A golden sandy beach found on the northwestern tip of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. In stark contrast to the majority of black sand beaches in Iceland, Skarðsvík resembles a Mediterranean shoreline, enforced by its aquamarine, turquoise water and the surrounding dark, volcanic landscape.
