The Baj Pomorski Theatre is a puppet theatre founded in 1946. The theater focuses primarily on children's plays, using not only dolls , but also animation art , the latest multimedia techniques and traditional acting. Construction of this building started in 2005. Baj Pomorski Theater owes its birth to Irena Pikiel-Samorewiczowa - painter, who in April 1945 was repatriated from Vilnius to Bydgoszcz with a document from the Ministry of Culture and Art of April 1, 1945 authorizing her to organize the first theater in Pomerania dolls.. On October 28, 1945, the first premiere for children occurred. The show made its debut at the First Russian and Soviet Theater Festival in Warsaw in 1950.
