World War II Museum
September 1, 1939, is forever etched in the history books as the day the world went to war. The world would never be the same again, and it started here with Danzig/Gdansk as the opening gambit in Hitler’s vile master plan. The city and its people were to pay an incredibly high price and once war was over, there was little of the city or few of its people left. This museum does an amazing job of presenting how events and conditions in the world set the stage for World War II in both Europe and Asia. The museum was opened on 23 March 2017.I have put a few pictures here, but they do not capture the horror of war.
