Also known as Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, this is south Indian Dravidian architecture. Most pf the present structure was built between 1623 and 1655 CE, but the original temple dates to the 6th c BCE.Meenakshi Temple was on the list of top 30 nominees for the “New Seven Wonders of the World”
