I bought a piece of art at This is Aboriginal Art Gallery. The aboriginal people generally do not allow their pictures to be taken. As I was getting ready to leave, this woman came in with two boys, appr 10-14 years of age. I was informed that she was the artist who had created my painting. She agreed to have her picture taken with me, but not the boys. Patsy Ross Patsy was born in 1975 and went to primary school in Willowra then to Yirara College in Alice Springs. Patsy is a Warlpiri woman and also the sister-in-law of artist, Janet Long Nakamarra. She is a natural colourist. Working in small scale she depicts various women's ceremonies. When in her late twenties and is already a well sought after artist. She has had her work exhibited at Flinders University, Adelaide in which her work sold out the first evening.
