It had several uses that were given over more than a century, as it was Women, juvenile correctional facility (women) and school..The Community of the Good Shepherd and director of the Shelter of the same name, which today receives teenage girls at risk, recalls that the order began its activities in Cuenca since October of the year of 1892. This Order was initially established in France, by the catholic religious Santa María Eufrasia Pelletier, to welcome women who wanted to change their lives. Today, the shelter has 38 teenagers who are interns of the Good Shepherd Shelter House by order of the judges of the Childhood and Adolescence, who besides the emotional assistance, have the opportunity to continue their studies to position of teaching professionals.
