Rosen Tantau is a family business of German horticulture founded in 1906 and directed from its inception by Mathias Tantau (senior) , then by his son Mathias Tantau jun. from 1948 to 1985 , the year in which one of the former employees took over the company. The dedication of the nursery has focused on the creation of hybrid hybrids of the Floribunda and Hybrid tea groups since its inception, the company is defined as a "creator-producer of roses ."It is one of the leading growers of roses in the world and has produced a large number of known varieties of roses.So far, the company launched more than 350 varieties of new garden roses on the market. In Latin America, Rosen Tantau has important partnerships with experimental farms in Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico, where different varieties are carefully selected prior to being introduced onto the market.
