Ivanovo is called the textile capital of Russia. Once upon the time when the factories have been working (before 1990), many young women have moved to Ivanovo (most textile workers are women). So in 1960-ties there have been lots of young adventurous girls in the town, and Ivanovo has been known as the "City of Brides".
