Moscow Manege is a large oblong building which gives its name to the vast Manege Square, which was cleared in the 1930s, adjacent to the more famous Red Square. A manège is an indoor riding academy. The square is decorated with flowerbeds, fountains with sculptures depicting characters of Russian folk tales. Now under the Manege Square there is one of the major trading centers of the capital – Okhotny Ryad
