This viewpoint is located above the Park Güell, Under the Mirador, there are the remains of the Cuevas de en Cimany, an iron mine that was active until 200 years ago. The viewpoint is dedicated to Joan Sales (1912-1983), one of the most famous Catalan novelists of the last century and neighbor of the Coll neighborhood (in which the Mirador is located)
