The work of artist José Miguel Utande, was implemented at the end of 2022 n memory and recognition of the men and women of Madrid deported to the Nazi concentration camps between 1940-1945.On the left are three sculptural columns symbol of “The Trees of Dreams”, on whose bases are engraved the names of the 442 Madrid residents deported to the Nazi concentration camp of Mauthausen and on the right is the main sculpture symbol of the “Door of Freedom” Mauthausen held thousands of Spanish political prisoners who opposed the Franco regime.
