These deer were on the shore at some distance from the boat, captured as best I could with my telephoto lens. They did not appear to be very big with the naked eye. One of our fellow passengers saw them and shouted out "Squirrels!" which then became the standing joke for any animal seen at a distance on the shore. We actually saw only one squirrel on the entire trip, to be seen later.
