Monument to Padre Carlos Mugica, an Argentine priest who founded the Movement of Priests for the Third World and the movement of village priests , as well as as a participant in the popular struggles of Argentina in the 1960s and 1970s. He was assassinated by the anti-communist parapolice group Triple A. He was buried in the Cristo Obrero parish that he founded, in a ceremony led by the then Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Bergoglio, later elected as Pope Francis , 4 who, already being pope, defined him asa high priest who fought for justice . 5 Several sectors consider him a martyr . In the back is the the Olympic Energy sculpture (2013)
