As I walked out of the mosque I was greeted by a young man who asked in English if I enjoyed the mosque, told me he was studying to be an English teacher, and offered to show me the market under the mosque (which I was unaware of). After walking through an area selling fabric (to many pregnant women) we arrived here. After sitting down a whole tray of spices was brought out and I had the opportunity to smell and guess what they were. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything and it was great fun (my nose needs some finetuning)
