Alexandria
Ronald Reagan Library Exhibit 2019 Underwater discoveries at Alexandria - the holy bull Apis, an image of the god Ptah, was a living animal raised in the temple at Memphis. When it died its mummification and ritual were similar to those of Osiris. This Roman sculpture was discovered in the underground galleries of Serapeum, the temple next to Pompey's Pillar (that we did not visit)
