Little Mick's Hunny Harem Extravanganza
Hi all,
I was only in Brisbane for two days which was a real shame as I would love to have spent more time there and in particular have had time to go to Noosa, the gold coast, surfers paradise and Nimbin!!!
In traditional fashion I found an Irish bar (mick O'Malley's) and was also served the best pint of guiness that I have tasted in oz. Whilst there on the last night I met a Kilkenny guy called Shane and his wife. I had met them in Airlie Beach before heading off on my whit sunday sailing trip, but didn't think I'd see them again. They were with some more girls from Galway and Dublin. One of the girls was a Ruth O'Connor from Kiliney in Dublin and I thought that was a bit too close to my O'Connor relations in Dublin not to be one of them! I don't think she was but I still couldn't say 100%.
Also in typical style I had to go to the casino and have a flutter. Unfortunatly I wasn't as lucky as I was in Melbourne and Sydney! Brisbane its self I only had time to go to the art gallery, a museum, down to the man made bach and for a walk along the river. All of which was fun, but I would have liked to have seen more. I stayed at the bunk backpackers which was nice, but I never got to meet David Wadley either. David was IT Manager of Millers in Australia when they were owned by Access.
So there's lots I didn't get to do in oz, so there's only one thing for it and that's go back again! I can't wait. Now its time to look forward to S.E Asia. Who knows what that will bring!
Love,
Michael
P.S: Joanna you're safe I haven't brought any one with me from oz to bangkok just incase you were looking forward to meeting the Mrs M O'Connor!
