Ok. So to continue, I was at the bus stop waiting for the bus. There I had a chat to a guy from the US or something I think who offered me weed right in front of like 8 other people. I didn't take it obviously, but he was actually quite a nice guy.
But then I had a sleep on the bus and luckily got woken up by the bus driver just when I got to airport.
Then I struggled to check in but I'm sure I mannaged to check my bag all the way through to Montreal. It took quite a while to get through security for some reason, I guess there were just a lot of people coming in.
I slept for pretty much all of the flight from Edinburgh to Paris and then it was snowing when I got to Paris. Then it took me ages to check in for my flight through to Montreal cause I needed to give them Nick's address for Orlando for some reason but I only had it on facebook. But they were generally really slow with everything else as well. When I finally got checked in I then went up to the gate and had an extremely expensive and not very good hot chocolate and toasted ham and cheese sandwich.
I then just waited in the gate lounge for the plane for a while before I was called up to the desk over the speaker system. They just wanted to confirm that my bag was meant to going through to Montreal, so they needed my passport, baggage receipt and everything and then they took a while on the phone talking to the baggage transfer guys. Then asked them "is there any problem with it at all? It's going through to Montreal?" to which they said "no, no problem. It will be there"!!!
Anyway I had a reasonably pleasant flight in to Montreal, I watched a couple of movies and had a little bit of a sleep and a good meal. The seven hours just seemed to fly by.
Then when I got to Montreal I went through security and all that stuff and then went to get collect my bag, AND IT NEVER CAME!!!!!! So I had to go to the counter for lost baggage and report and all that stuff. They said that they're going to deliver the bag to Nick's place once I get to Orlando.
I got the shuttle from the airport to my hotel for the night with just my daypack which didn't have any spare clothes in it at all or toiletries or anything. Luckily the airline gave me an overnight pack of a toothbrush, toothpaste, a razor, shaving cream and a XL T-shirt. What else could I possibly need?
Anyway, the night at the hotel was actually ok. I just went out to get subway for dinner in the absolute blistering cold. There was litterally ice everywhere. It was actually safer for me to do a kind of ice skating style movement along a few sections of the path.
But I got back to the hotel, went on the computer to print out the US Visa waiver form that was in my main bag and then went to bed pretty early because my flight tomorrow is at 8am.
