Found basic but nice bungalows to stay in Koh Phangan on the beach with swimming pool & hammocks swinging from the palm trees. Had dinner at great seafood restaurant by Baan Tai pier, couldnt decide what to order as everything looked so good & seeing as each dish was only couple quid we ended up having a feast of 2 starters, 3 main courses, 2 puddings and cocktails. Food was gorgeous and had brilliant evening, spending hours chatting & eating sat on a moored longtail boat looking out to harbour.
Half moon party next evening! Met up with other people staying at our resort & sat drinking & chatting til getting taxi to the jungle party at 1am. Was done up really well with big screens, neon lighting galore and glow in dark paint eminating from every bit of skin on partygoers! It was, however slightly disappointing as it just wasnt as busy as i thought it would be - i guess the full moon party is really the only one to bother with.
Stayed in Phangan 1 morte day where i met a group of people in the evening who where heading on to Koh Tao, a smaller island, so i decided to tag along as didnt feel Phangan had much to offer me on my own.
Checked into a hostel on Koh Tao & have spent a blissful week on complete relaxation mode, hanging out with my new group of friends. Getting used to doing nothing was weird after a busy 2 months & at first felt like i should be trying to do stuff but soon settled into island life & got used to just relaxing on the beautiful beached & mooching around the town, it's absolute bliss! I know the next 6 weeks or so will be manic again with my Malaysia tour then action packed New Zealand so i'm revelling in the peace right now!
