The journey from El Calafate to Ushuaia was incredibly long and tedious. There is no way to get to Tierra del Fuego from Argentina so you have to cross the border into Chile and then go back into Argentina. We have been staying in the Lagares Hostel in Mendoza. There are lots of English speakers and there is a really sociable atmosphere in the living area. We met a brother and sister from Canberra who were really nice.
