So last night was rough, and I'm just now unclenching a little as I am seated on my flight back to Verona. After I finally got my flight organized last night I went to eat some dinner with Juakim (a Swedish traveller) at a little Indian stand near the hostel. Later I met up with Patrick and Andrea as well. Andrea fell asleep on the couch, Juakim went out to meet an italian girl he met in Palermo, and Patrick and I sat on the patio and talked late. I think I needed a mellow night.
Today I went to my first ever catholic mass with Andrea and Patrick. It was in a beautiful old church in town, with ornate sculptures, paintings and gold details. After Patrick and I did a quick sight-seeing session in his rental car prior to returning it. We stopped in the English gardens for a coffee and walked amongst the lush trees. I keep thinking of sho and how much fun she must be having now. Patrick is on a technology break, ie. no phone, no computers, and no emails let alone Facebook. Good for him. I gave the three of them my contact info and hope to see them again sometime soon.
