Much has happened in the last few days leaving me wiser and a little more cautious. A few hard and fast rules: 1. Contrary to what I had always heard, Parisians are very kind and helpful (some must have been laughing at my lack of ability to direct myself in the city), though they often have no idea how to get places in their own city. 2.
