I set my alarm for 08:00 but reset it until 09:00 as i had plenty of time to get ready (i had packed all my belongings and zipped up my bag the night before). When the alarm rang again at 09:00 i pulled myself out of bed to go downstairs to meet daniel. I made a cup of tea and took it outside with a cigarette where i found Daniel doing the same thing, except was on his ipad. I left mine upstairs as i like to soak up the last moments of a place i have visited, especially such a cultured, friendly and generally amazing place like Penang. Once i had finished my smoke, i went inside and made dan and i some toast- this is the first time i've been up in time to grab some slices of bread. I spread three slices with the overly sweet strawberry jam and one with butter, as i know Daniel has two jam and i always opt for a bit of both. We sat outside and ate the toast before going up to do a last scoot over the room to make sure we had packed everything, and carry out bags down the creaky wooden steps. On the way out we passed Jimmy and thanked him for his hospitality as he is always around for help and for a chit chat. We checked out, received the deposit and sat outside awaiting the arrival of our bus to kuala lumpur. up downstairs brekkie. Bus journey. Beautoful landscape. Nap. Sentral. Walk to find hotel.
