Hey Guys

Final morning here in Amsterdam. It has been quite an interesting holiday to say the least. This city is like no place on earth.

Firstly the weather has been absolutely appalling! It hasnt stopped raining since i arrived. My shoes are absolutely soaking wet still from yesterday, even though the have had 8 hours chance to dry out. Hence everyday i have been walking round with dripping wet hair, wet socks and shoes etc....

On the other hand I have experienced, seen and done some amazing stuff. The red light district is massive. The first night we had a look and only went down 1 street - little did we know that when strolling through the city we stumbled across another at least 10 streets and allies lined with windows filled with red light and dancing women beconing for the next payment! lol

The city - known for its liberal use of cannabis - reakes of it. When in the city centre you can always get a whiff of it - especially when you walk past the hundreds of coffee houses.

Anyway - yesterday went to Anne Franks House - was pretty interesting, but one really has to read the book to understand what happened in its walls, because there wasnt much left inside the house. Following this we wealked around for about an hour in the rain trying to find this market, and finally we found it - after walking past the Heinekin Brewery which was unfortunatley closed til May :( Market was OK too!

Then we went to the sex-museum, which was ... interesting ... to say the least. It was filled with artefacts from ancient times to now all dealing with you-know-what!

After we then caught the train out to Utrecht - 1/2 an hour out of Amsterdam - to watch Utrecht V Roda in the Dutch soccer. AMAZING! When we were waiting for the bus to soccer chri started talking to a local Utrecht fan about the game. Anyway to keep it short it makes it easy to get tickets when you have a club card - and the guy gave chris his card ebcause he had season tickets. The atmosphere was unreal and Utrecht won 3:1 which was cool!

Todays plan includes tour of canal and cocktail museum.
