So down to Byron Bay, went for a walk up to the lighthouse and watched many a surfer doing their thing along what is prob the nicest and longest beach i've seen, arcing round to form a peninsula dn the lighthouse overlooking the entire place! Headed to Pema Valley in Nimbin to hang out with my great Auntie Gillian for an unforgettable 4days amongst her horses, dogs, cats, cows and parrots which patroll her 40acres of tamed wilderness! So down to Brisbane and Surfers Paradise to meet Paul and his sister! Dewsigned my 1st boomerang in an aberiginal craft centre listening to a didge player and then the beach at surfer's way amazing but again, absolutely ruined by tourism and more mcdonalds than on the US west coast!

So for Gail's first ever Greyhound adventure, we headed down to Hervey Bay, a far less touristy east coast spot (presumably because its cheaper to go over via Rainbow Beach but still a heap of backpacker spots along the front and it wouldnt be complete without a couple of Irish bars! SO off to Airlie Beach (another manmade style beach) with a lagoon to try to accomodate for the shabbiness of the sands and poor views! Luickily tho, the time was minimal as we spent our 3day 2nights on New Horizon, a sailing boat which guided its way round the Whitsunday Islands!
