Milla and Jonny's Travels
After a few very hectic days in some strange towns, we are finally chilling out on Koh Phi Phi. We travelled from Kao Sok to a dead, lifeless town called Phuket where the only thing to do was get very drunk. After this we spent a night in Patong, an experience in itself. This is one of the most sleazy places we have ever been, full of old, fat European men with very young, pretty Thai girls. The Patong advertising slogan is "A place for single men on a mission"! The other aspect of Ptaong is the overwhelming number of ladyboys, which is quite amusing - it's amazing how convincing some of them are, Jonny checked out some ass and legs and then realised the owner of these had a very deep voice!
Needless to say we left Patong very quickly, and with seconds to spare, made it on to a boat heading for Koh Phi Phi. This is the island where the film "The Beach" was shot, and it is as beautiful as it looks - the most stunning place we have been so far. There are no roads or cars at all here, and you can only get around on foot or by long tail boat, which definitely adds to the charm of the place. The sea on our beach is completely clear, and full of tropical fish that swim through your legs. Tomorrow we are going snorkelling around the island and hope to see sharks.
We are feeling sad as our time in Thailand is drawing to a close (only five days left), however, we are excited to be moving on to Singapore, a place where the toilets win awards and don't consist of a hole in the ground (and a hose instead of toilet paper).
