Day 26; from Portos too Ribadiso another 30 km day, with 2 more days to go. Very foggy first thing, had the path all to our selfs until after Palas De Rei where it becomes a pilgrim highway again with a lot of the last 100 km club day trippers joining in much to Jean Jaques disgust. Stopped in Melide for lunch and had the speciality of the region pulpo octopus with rock salt and paprika very nice. Hats of too Gael for eating it she was very unsure. Happy to leave...

Day 25. From Ferreiros too Portos. 29 km's today. Staying in this one person hamlet, really quint, not much to do except drink vino blanco in the sun. Day 24; From Triacastella too Ferrerios 32 km's. We are now down to our last 100's until Santiago, we are so close. Just beautiful walking today, so so pretty, thru farms and villages. Walked into Sarria and had a big pizza for lunch, met Carlos by the river snacking. Stayed at Municpal albergue, there were no blankets, had dinner at a nearby bar and watched the football on TV. Day 22; From Carcarbelo's too Las Herrerisa 29 kms. What a lovely walk today, every one should try this. Have been walking the last few days with Jean Pierre and Jean Jaques, it's been a hoot and Gael now has nick named us the Jean Team. Had a gradually ascent up into the mountains again thru lots of gorgeous villages. Able to pick some cherries on the way- yummy.
