Hi All

Well only a couple of months to go and we will both be leaving work, spending some time with friends and family and then leaving for Kenya!!

I have now had my time off work confirmed which is great.

The house is going for up rent in the next couple of weeks (after getting the house ship shape having given Monty back - Andrew & Jemima Christie's mad springer spaniel who has been staying / causing chaos with us whilst they enjoy their relaxing, warm holiday!!)
If anyone wants to rent a 4 bedroom house in Chandlers Ford please give us a ring!!

My Mazda MX5 will reluctantly be going for sale in April!! If you fancy a totally unpractical yet great fun car also give us a call...!!

We are also very, very grateful to all that have already donated or pledged money, and are pleased to say that we are well on our way to covering the costs to get us out there and some major costs during the 1st year. We do still need to continue fundraising to cover the remaining months of the trip and also another £8,000 to cover a buying a 4-wheel drive vehicle which will allow us to take our work to some of the remote villages most in need of the work we'll be doing with IcFEM. We would love to be in a position to donate this vehicle to IcFEM when we leave as it would make an enormous difference to their future work, and genuinely would save and transform hundreds of lives.

Thanks also to all those who have been praying for us and giving advice to prepare us for what lies ahead. It is amazing to know so many people are supporting us.

We are leaving Southampton in the first week of April to spend some time with family, leaving for Kenya later in the month. I am sitting exams in Kenya on 3-4th May which we are very pleased to say have finally been confirmed.

Another practical challenge is to learn Swahili. It's fair to say progress is mixed so far, and we would love to start some conversation classes. If you just happen to be fluent (or know someone who is!) and could help us please let us know...
