A medical clinic wearing hat, sunglasses and a silly amount of sun cream is a normal days activity, I don't bat an eye lid about jumping on the back of bike as my taxi back from town or the fact it is 30 degree in November! Clearly I am getting used to life in Kenya!!
We also spent some of last night chasing escaped chickens around the garden and the neighbours house, got over excited by post coming with week 2 and week 3 of "Strictly" (thanks Mum DVD recorder was a good buy!!) and had to get someone to help me wash my hair with rain water because it is coming so sticky from all the mud in our normal water!! (it is strange life!!)
We spent half of October enjoying the most amazing safari with my parents and then a week on the white sandy beaches of Watatmu, we also went to Lake Beringo for Mike 30th (can't believe he is 30, or that I met him when he was 20!!), a tented camp in the middle of a lake with some of the most sunning views I have ever seen. It has been great to see more of country and to have some time out with family,
Other than being on holiday, life at IcFEM continues well! We have just sent out our newsletter so I will not repeat it all again on here for fear of sending you all to sleep!! (anyone who wants adding to newsletter mailing list let us know!)
We welcome Mike parents in few week , they are coming for a sunny Christmas in Kimilili. As we welcome them we say bye to our house mates who are all going back to the UK for Christmas. It will be strange not having a house full of people but gives us nice family time in December.
We will get adding some more photos next week.(pending internet strength) Our safari ones are on my Facebook page if you want to see them.
That is all for now!
Becky
